Course Description: This course will provide healthcare professionals with guidelines how to prevent catheter associated urinary tract infection.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
·Explain the new Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goal as it relates to catheter associated urinary tract infections.
·Describe the risk factors and the prevalence of catheter acquired urinary tract infection.
·Identify the signs and symptoms of catheter acquired urinary tract infection and treatment measures.
Length of Course: 60 minutes
