Course Description: This course will discuss populations that have a high risk of depression, common treatments for depression and new approaches to the treatment of depression.

Target Audience: RN, Social Workers, Counselors and Therapists and other interested healthcare providers

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

1. Identify which populations have a higher risk of depression and the cause of depression.
2. List common treatment options for depression and the benefits and risks of each treatment.
3. Recognize novel approaches to treating depression and the new risks/precautions are being discovered.
