Course Description: The purpose of this educational activity is for the learner to be able to identify types of medication errors, why they occur, how to prevent, and what to do if one occurs.

1. Identify types of medication errors and the reasons they occur.
2. Identify and discuss methods for preventing medication errors.
3. Describe legal issues surrounding medication administration.
4. Discuss management of medication errors.
