Course Description: To provide more detailed education on dementia associated with HIV.

Target Audience: Nursing, Social Workers, Counselors and Therapists
At the end of this presentation, the learner will be able to:
- discuss the signs and symptoms of HIV associated dementia.
- identify the challenging behaviors of people living with HIV associated dementia.
- discuss possible solutions to challenging behaviors exhibited by someone living with HIV associated dementia.
Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will receive 1 contact hours.
Counselors and Therapists: This program has been approved for 1 hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.
