Course Description: This class is designed to increase the participant’s recognition of the signs and symptoms of this deadly syndrome.

Target Audience: Nurses and Respiratory Care Practitioners
Objectives: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Describe the pathophysiological changes associated with MODS (Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome).
2. Review observable changes during a clinical assessment which may indicate impending MODS.
Length of Course: 150 minutes
Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 2.5 contact hours.
Respiratory Care Practitioners: 2.5 clock hours will be awarded by Upstate AHEC, an approved provider of continuing education for respiratory care practitioners by the SC Board of Medical Examiners.
