Course Description: This course is designed to provide the healthcare provider with an update to the clinical guidelines for diabetes.

Target Audience: Nurses and any other interested healthcare provider
Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe different levels of foot care.
- Describe inspection and assessment of feet of patients at high risk; especially patients with diabetes, neuropathy and peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
- Discuss the effects of diabetes related to foot care.
Length of Course: 60 minutes
Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 1.0 contact hour.
