Course Description: This course is intended to increase the participant's knowledge patient's pharmacological reproductive needs.

Target Audience: Nurses and other healthcare professionals

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

•Discuss the NP’s treatment approach for couples with infertility caused by an ovulatory disorder.
•Identify various contraceptive options and clinical considerations when counseling patients seeking to avoid pregnancy.
•Discuss the use of emergency contraception.
•Identify effective contraceptive options for the postpartum patient.

Length of Course: 2 hours 15 minutes

Licensed Nurses:  Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 2.25  contact hour and 2.25 pharmacology hours.

Other: This educational offering provides 0.225 CEUs (2.25 clock hour) by Upstate AHEC and meets SC AHEC Best Practice Standards.
