Course Description: This course will assist the professional in understanding adult bullying, how to recognize signs of adult bullying and best practices/techniques to counseling those who are targets of bullying.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Define workplace and college campus bullying.
- Discuss the signs of being bullied and ways to differentiate between bullying and harassment.
- List 5 recognized categories of workplace violence.
- State the cost of supporting bullying in the workplace and on college campuses.
- Discuss the use of 5 best practices/techniques when counseling those who are the target of bullying.
- Discuss at least 5 methods/ways to incorporate civility (anti-bullying) into the workplace and on the college campus.
Length of Course: 60 minutes
Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists: This program has been approved for 1.0 hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.
Social Work: This program has been approved for 1.0 clock hours of non-social work continuing education by Upstate AHEC, as part of the SC AHEC system, under its accreditation by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners.
Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will receive 1.0 contact hours.
