Course Description: This course will increase participant knowledge regarding opioid prescription guidelines, the use of naloxone in opioid overdose, and prescription drug

monitoring as a tool for reducing prescription drug abuse.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss the opioid crisis as it relates to South Carolina.
  • Discuss the role of Naloxone in prescription opioid therapy.

Length of Course: 60 minutes
