Course Description:  This program is brought to you through a partnership with SC LEND which will examine a variety of assistive technology tools available for children with neurological and traumatic brain injuries.

Target Audience: Nurses, Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors and any other healthcare professional

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • List five or more assistive technology tools for children with neurological and traumatic brain injuries.

Length of Course: 1 hour

Credit Statements:

Licensed Nurses:  Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 1.0 contact hours.

Social Workers: This program has been approved by Upstate AHEC, as part of the SC AHEC system, under its accreditation by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners for 1.0 clock hours of non-social work continuing education.

Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists: This program has been approved for 1.0  hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.

Others:  This educational offering provides 0.1 CEUs (1.0 clock hour) by Upstate AHEC and meets SC AHEC
