Course Description: This course is designed to provide the healthcare provider with increased knowledge of the management of the diabetic client.

Target Audience: Nurses, Dieticians and any other interested healthcare provider
Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Identify symptoms, causes, prevention and treatment of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia
Length of Course: 60 minutes
Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 1.0 contact hour.
Dietitians: 1.0 hour of CPE for registered dietitians.
