Course Description: This course will examine why people get stuck in a fixed mindset and how to use and maintain a growing mindset. The instructor will discuss self-awareness, self-management, aggressive, assertive and passive behaviors and how to communicate well with others.

Target Audience: Licensed professional counselors, social workers, and any other interested healthcare professional
Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- List at least two reasons why people stay stuck in a fixed mindset.
- List at least two advantages of using/maintaining a growth mindset.
- List three habits of those with self-control.
- List at least three advantages of working toward emotional intelligence.
- List at least two differences between aggressive, assertive and passive behavior.

Length of Course: 75 minutes
Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists: This program has been approved for 1.25 hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.
Social Work: This program has been approved for 1.25 clock hours of non-social work continuing education by Upstate AHEC, as part of the SC AHEC system, under its accreditation by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners.
