Course Description: Students with any type of disability have
rights. Learn the tools to appropriately engage students with hidden
disabilities in the disclosure process. Discover the importance of self-disclosure
on the education delivery system and how the collective efforts will increase
opportunities for success in students with disabilities.

At the end of this presentation, the learner will be able to:
- discuss disabilities rights and its impact on society
- discuss the importance of self-disclosure in the education delivery system
- describe how collective efforts increase opportunities for academic success for persons living with disabilities
Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will receive 2.5 contact hours.
Counselors and Therapists: This program has been approved for 2.5 hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.
