Course Description: This course will discuss

  • Identify the pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, clinical presentation, and treatment of conjunctivitis and other common eye conditions.
  • Identify the pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, clinical presentation, and treatment of epistaxis.
  • Identify the pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, clinical presentation, and treatment allergic rhinitis.
  • Identify the pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, clinical presentation, and treatment of bacterial rhinosinusitis.
  • Identify the pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, clinical presentation, and treatment of Group A Strep pharyngitis.

Licensed Nurses:  Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This continuing education activity is approved for 2.5 contact hour for licensed nurses and 2.5 pharmacology hour.

AHEC:This program is approved for 0.25 CEUs (2.5 clock hours) by Upstate AHEC and meets the SC AHEC Best Practice Standards
