Course Description: This program discusses quality measurement within performance evaluation. This includes types of measurements, standardized measure sources, measurement challenges, and principles of quality performance. Budgeting concepts for nurse leaders are reviewed and include concepts such as budgeting as a plan, spreadsheet, notes and financial system entry and management techniques. The presenter will discuss how to analyze the financial performance basics such as types of financial measures, common financial measures, what the Chief Financial Officer needs, charges versus revenues, and proxy metrics. Proxy metric include length of stay, re-admits, patient per month all costs, and projected savings versus actual savings.
