Course Description: This course will provide skills to assist charge nurses to understand their role expectations and requirements to professionally lead their staff.

Target Audience: Licensed Nurses
Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Describe role expectations of a charge nurse.
- List the keys to appropriate delegation.
- Identify three or more characteristics of an effective clinical leader.
- Identify critical thinking skills that are important for the charge nurse.
- Describe three or more difficult behavior patterns and formulate positive approaches for dealing with each behavior.
- Illustrate problem solving strategies for selected clinical scenarios.
Length of Course: 60 minutes

Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will receive 1 contact hour.
