Course Description: You may have heard or seen the term "negative behavior/disruptive behavior" recently...this course will not only tell you what it is but how to deal with it effectively.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this course the participant will be able to
- Discuss the causes of bullying and other forms of negative and disruptive behaviors in healthcare.
- Identify key characteristics of the four generations in today's workforce.
- Develop an action plan for dealing constructively with negative behavior.
- Describe two or more strategies to break the cycle of negative behavior in the workplace.
- Practice a new skill for effectively addressing negative behavior.
Dieticians: 1.25 hours of CPE for registered dieticians.
Respiratory Care Practitioners: 1.25 clock hours will be awarded by Upstate AHEC, an approved provider of continuing education for respiratory care practitioners by the SC Board of Medical Examiners.
Counselors and Therapists: This program has been approved for 1.25 clock hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensed Professional Counselors, Marital and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.
Social Work (non-social work hours): This program has been approved by Upstate AHEC, as part of the SC AHEC system, under its accreditation by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners for 1.25 clock hours of non-social work continuing education.
Others: This educational offering provides 0.125 CEUs (1.25 clock hour) by Upstate AHEC and meets SC AHEC Best Practice Standards.
