Course Description: This course is designed to demonstrate and discuss common pediatric office procedures.

Target Audience: Licensed Nurses and other interested healthcare workers

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

•Demonstrate best method for obtaining vital signs, weight, height, head circumference, chest circumference in the pediatric patient.
•State how to properly administer immunizations to the pediatric patient.
•State how to properly obtain a urine sample in the pediatric patient.
•State how to properly prepare and administer a respiratory nebulizer for the pediatric patient.

Length of Course: 60 minutes

Licensed Nurses:  Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 1.0  contact hours.
