Course Description: This presentation will provide an overview of telehealth and then focus specifically on school-based telehealth.  It will address the technology. telepresenting, type of care that is being providing (including tele-mental health), and patient satisfaction.

Target Audience: Registered Nurses or any other interested healthcare professionals

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • identify at least 3 applications of telehealth in pediatric medicine.
  • describe the technology used to provide care via telehealth.
  • define telepresenting.
  • describe the workflow of a school-based telehealth visit.
  • identify the type of visits that are appropriate for school-based telehealth.

Length of Course: 60 minutes
